We realize that sometimes life takes an unexpected
turn. This guarantees that you may cancel your lease on your apartment
up to 30 days after moving in, no matter what the reason.
Notice of your intention to cancel your lease must be
received by The Habitat Company within the first 30 days
after you take possession of your apartment. At the end of
that 30-day period, all keys, rent for the days you occupied
the apartment and your forwarding address must be given to
the building manager.
Free Move-In Maintenance Coupon
It's our welcome gift to you! Each new Habitat resident
receives a move-in maintenance coupon good for 30 minutes of
free help with light projects like hanging pictures, shelves
or curtain rods, moving boxes or basic furniture assembly.
Coupons can be redeemed within the first 30 days of
residence. See your building's move-in coordinator to
schedule an appointment.
Building Transfer Program
This program makes it easy to move from one Habitat building
to another once you've lived with us a year. Simply give
your building manager 60 days notice of your move and there
will be no lease breakage fee. Habitat's building transfer
policy applies after the first year's lease term. See the
leasing agent at the Habitat property you want to move to
for more details.
24 Hour Maintenance Guarantee
If you have a problem, or something needs repair, this
guarantees you a prompt response within 24 hours of your
call. Of course, if it's an emergency, we'll respond
immediately.
Security Deposit Refund Program
Once you've lived in a Habitat building for a year, you'll
get 50 percent of your security deposit back. Live with us
for two years and get another 25 percent back. Once you've
lived with us for five years, you'll get the last 25 percent
of your money back, plus interest. *
Suggestion Boxes & Cards
You'll find these boxes in all of our laundry rooms. We
review all the suggestions every week at our building
manager's meeting. We are ready to hear how we can make your
Habitat experience even better.
