Jonathan Butcher
Regional Manager, Market Rate
Jonathan Butcher is a tenured leader in multi-housing management currently serving as a Market Rate Regional Manager at Habitat. In this capacity, he applies a blend of strategic oversight and operational expertise to drive performance across a residential portfolio located in Chicago and Michigan.
Prior to joining Habitat, Jonathan was with Waterton, where he served as Community Manager overseeing the Shoreham and Tides in Chicago. His leadership in the Chicago market follows a transformative tenure in Central America dedicated to international development in rural communities. During this period, he founded two organizations aimed at systemic empowerment: one focused on increasing value for sharecrop farmers and another dedicated to advancing women’s rights. The latter continues to make a lasting impact today as The Lily Project.
Jonathan’s professional foundation began in Los Angeles, where he served as a Regional Manager for Marriott Corporate Housing as well as a District Manager for Oakwood Worldwide. While managing regional operations, he earned a Master’s in Entrepreneurship and Change from Pepperdine University. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Psychology from Lee University.
