As Senior Compliance Manager, Jason Woodard leads the compliance and occupancy teams, along with all departmental functions and processes for the affordable housing portfolio. Jason directs all aspects of regulatory compliance for the Affordable Housing portfolios including site compliance, file audits, and annual compliance submissions to federal, state, and local agencies. He directs and often personally presents monthly and quarterly compliance workshops, training, and development for Habitat’s Affordable Group. Jason is also responsible for developing and updating policies, procedures, processes and forms with new and revised regulations. He oversees subsidy increase requests to achieve market level rents, all MOR’s scheduled by the Contract Administrators or Tax Credit Syndicators, as well as quarterly internal audits and monthly HAP voucher transmissions and receipts.
Jason brings 17 years of affordable housing compliance experience. He holds certifications as Housing Credit Compliance Professional (HCCP), Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), HUD Accredited Compliance Expert (ACE), and HUD/RD Housing Certified Manager (HCM) and is a licensed Real Estate Agent in Illinois. Prior to Habitat, Jason was a Compliance and Occupancy Manager for Professional Property Management and a Development Analyst and Billing Supervisor for Waste Management. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois in Finance.
