We’re proud to share that The Habitat Company’s work at Ogden Commons and LeClaire Courts is featured in the April/May 2025 issue of Illinois Real Estate Journal, highlighting our continued leadership in transformative affordable housing development.
At Ogden Commons, located in Chicago’s North Lawndale neighborhood, Phase II is officially underway. The next step in this multi-phase, mixed-use redevelopment includes 75 additional mixed-income residences and over 120,000 square feet of commercial space. Once completed, the full development will total more than $200 million in investment, reshaping a formerly underutilized site into a thriving, inclusive community.
Meanwhile, our work at LeClaire Courts represents one of the most ambitious affordable housing redevelopments on Chicago’s Southwest Side. With a focus on restoring vibrancy to a historically significant location, the project will introduce a mix of affordable, public, and market-rate housing while providing access to modern amenities and critical support services.

Both developments are a testament to Habitat’s mission to create equitable, long-term housing solutions in neighborhoods across Chicago. In collaboration with public and private partners, we’re not just building homes—we’re building opportunity and access.
We’re honored to see these efforts recognized and shared with the broader real estate community. Read the full story in the Illinois Real Estate Journal for more details on how Habitat is driving meaningful change through visionary development.
