43 Green Phase II Fully Leased, Marking Major Milestone for Bronzeville’s First Equitable Transit-Oriented Development

We’re proud to share that Phase II of 43 Green—our trailblazing mixed-income development in Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood—is now 100% leased, just months after delivering in early 2025.

The milestone has been featured in ConnectCRE, REBusiness Online, REJournals, and Urbanize Chicago—recognizing not only the speed and strength of the lease-up, but also the growing demand for quality, transit-connected housing on Chicago’s South Side.

Located adjacent to the CTA Green Line at 43rd Street, 43 Green is the first equitable transit-oriented development (ETOD) in Bronzeville. Phase II includes 80 mixed-income apartments and 4,000 square feet of retail, bringing the two-building community to a combined total of 168 units. The apartments serve a wide range of income levels—60% of units are reserved as affordable housing, with the remaining 40% priced at market rate.

This success reflects strong collaboration and visionary planning. 43 Green is co-developed by The Habitat Company and P3 Markets, with construction led by a joint venture between Bowa Construction (a minority-owned, full-service construction management firm) and McHugh Construction, and design by Landon Bone Baker Architects.

By placing affordable and market-rate housing directly along a high-frequency transit corridor, 43 Green is helping to address racial and geographic equity in Chicago’s housing landscape—offering residents seamless access to jobs, education, and opportunity.

As we look ahead, 43 Green stands as a powerful example of what inclusive development can look like when rooted in community needs and long-term vision. Thank you to our partners, stakeholders, and residents who made this milestone possible.

I had to deal with Invitation Homes' customer service, and honestly, it was a mixed bag. While the reps were friendly and tried to help, I found the response time a bit slow, which was frustrating, also find customer service contacts at Invitation Homes phone number . I appreciated their willingness to answer my questions, but I wish they had more efficient processes in place. Overall, it was decent, but there’s definitely room for improvement!

Opening with excitement, I find the blend of affordable and market-rate housing along transit lines both innovative and essential. One time, searching for an apartment near my college, I struggled to find a place that balanced location and price. If only there had been options like 43 Green. This reminds me of how thoughtful urban planning, much like Papa's games, can create fairness and opportunity for everyone. https://papasgamesfree.io

I found some really useful tips on sbre.site about creating a realistic budget that actually sticks. Their advice on prioritizing expenses and setting up automatic savings was a game-changer! Has anyone here found a budgeting method that works well for them? Any favorite apps or tricks to stay disciplined without feeling deprived? Would love to hear your thoughts!
