GHI IS AWARDED $31000 GRANT!

Original Publication Date: August 11, 2020

Generations Housing Initiatives has been awarded a $31000 JUF Critical Supports Grant to supply PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to Holocaust survivors and their caregivers at our Kenmore Plaza and Pines of Edgewater properties. Through this grant, our teams can continue delivering critical, essential, services in the safest manner available during the pandemic. This program is made possible by federal funds from a grant through The JFNA Center for Advancing Holocaust Survivor Care. Approximately 67% of funding for the project comes from federal sources. Approximately 33% comes from non-federal sources made possible through the Jewish United Fund. We are so grateful to The JFNA, Jewish United Fund, and Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago for helping make this possible.

Congratulations to our GHI team, we are so proud of you all! And Thank you to our Resident Service Coordinators who continue offering essential services during this difficult time!

This funding is vital for ensuring the safety of Holocaust survivors and their caregivers with necessary PPE. An asset tracking system helps manage and allocate resources effectively, this grant allows your team to continue providing essential services in the safest and most efficient manner during these challenging times. We are incredibly proud of the GHI team and grateful to all those who made this possible.
